Scouting for Food is an annual collection drive by Scout troops to gather non-perishable food for local food banks, which started in 1985. On the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags or flyers in their neighborhoods, and on the second weekend, they collect the donated food to deliver to local pantries

The Little League Challenger Program is Little League's adaptive baseball program for individuals (boys and girls) with physical and intellectual challenges.

Troop 605  are Volunteer Bell Ringers during the Annual Red Kettle Campaign. 

Creating and/or Repairing trails throughout the Pacific Northwest means more people can access the outdoors, and Troop 605 regularly works along the trail.

The Troop routinely clears brush, builds shelters, restores waterfronts, stacks firewood, and refurbishes Scouting and Non-Scouting Camp properties. 

SOLVE (Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism in the Environment) is a non-profit organization working throughout Oregon.

Portland Nightstrike is a weekly humanitarian outreach program that provides food, clothing, and other services to people experiencing homelessness.

The Troop supports work at a variety of community gardens where Scouts work together to grow and harvest plants, which can include produce, flowers, or other greenery.
