Below are where the youth leaders of the Troop post their position reports, useful links, suggestions for improvement and reflections on past events.
I served as the Troop SPL from June 24th 2025 to December 16th 2025. As SPL it was my job to plan & run meetings. During these meetings I planned out Merit Badges we can partake in & TTFC opportunities. I planned these events during PLC meetings which I also ran. During PLC meetings it was my job to pitch ideas to my Council to see what they think about it. Based on their feedback I plan for the future of the Troop. Along with running meetings as SPL it was my duty to inform scouts when meetings are & what they will include through weekly emails. A key role of the Troop SPL is to make sure everyone feels included & to have activities that are interesting to all scouts. An example of me doing this is by showing potential scouts who are interested around the Troop & what Boy Scouts is about. Lastly, the SPL should teach the ASPL how to eventually be SPL when their time comes. I feel as though I did a good job of this because before my term ended I set the new SPL with a variety of different merit badges which they can follow through with. While being SPL may sound like a lot of work, a lot of it you get help with from your PLC & Adult Leaders in the Troop who make the amount of work much more manageable.
